The ASACC National Contemporary Student Leadership & Citizenship Conference is quickly approaching. The conference will be held in Music City, Nashville, November 8-10, 2019. ASACC is pleased to be partnering for the third year in a row with ForCollegeforLife to provide speakers and session facilitators.
The conference will focus on important topics that are timely for community college student leaders. Here are the speakers from ForCollegeforLife that will be participating:
Odell Bizzell is a nationally known blogger, speaker, author, internet personality, and expert in training leaders to overcome obstacles to succeed. As a successful keynote speaker Odell has been featured in the USA Today, Yahoo Finance, CNBC.com, and over 200 media outlets. He has partnered with over 200 colleges, youth organizations, and the military to reach tens of thousands of students. He’s also the author of 5 books and is a nationally recognized voice in helping students turn their life story into a success story. His engaging and interactive presentations have been presented on the same stages as Super Bowl winning coaches, national politicians, and celebrities like Stephen A. Smith, Dave Letterman, & Oprah Winfrey.
Amber Jolly is a first-generation college graduate who brings thoughtful and compassionate perspective to her work along with a healthy dose of energy and spunk. A student affairs professional at Queens University in Charlotte, North Carolina. She spends her spare time with Greer, her mini schnauzer.
Dr. Jodi Jabs is a fun, energetic, pizzazzy student affairs professional. She is passionate about making change and being a resource to those she encounters. She works at High Point University, North Carolina as the Director of Campus Engagement and Student Activities. Fun fact: Jodi is an avid Minnesota Twins fan.
Casey J. Cornelius, Founder and CEO of ForCollegeForLife, is a speaker and writer passionate about student success and helping individuals and organizations maximize their full potential. After serving for more than a decade as a college faculty member, advisor, administrator and mentor, Casey launched FCFL in 2014. Now it stands as the leading voice in higher education, delivering programs on campuses in the U.S. and internationally. Casey speaks to audiences on topics of personal development, leadership and healthy masculinity. He is an honorary member of both Phi Theta Kappa and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
These presenters in addition to programs from member colleges and the ASACC team will make this an incredible experience for students!
